Community Ventures Society is a government funded agency. However, our government funding does not cover all of the activities we need to provide to the individuals we serve. Through the generous donations in the community, we continue to fund the following –
– Evening programming activities – evenings can be one of the hardest times for the individuals we serve in terms of them feeling lonely and isolated. For this reason, CVS seeks to provide this programming to help reduce this and enable the individuals we serve to participate in the community at a variety of times.
– iPads/tablet computers for communication – many of the individuals we serve are non-verbal. Now that tablet computer technology exists, it has opened doors for them to communicate in an easy way through specially designed apps that help them communicate while they are interacting in community and at home.
– CVS Christmas Campaign – CVS runs an annual fundraising campaign which starts in November and runs until December. Our Children’s Services team pulls together to gather donations that help the families we support so we can provide a memorable Christmas to the children and families we serve.
Your donations are greatly appreciated. All online donations are serviced through Canada Helps. Tax receipts are sent automatically through their system. We appreciate any and all donations so we can continue to go above and beyond for the individuals and families we serve. Thank you for your generosity!
We rise by lifting others.
