Alison Goulding works with the individuals we serve as our Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and Augmented and Alternative Communications (AAC) Coordinator. Alison provides support and training in all of the programs at CVS, her role includes developing and implementing PBS plans, Safety Plans and De-escalation plans.
Alison is also one of three MANDT trainers at CVS, the Mandt System helps CVS develop a culture that provides for the emotional, psychological, and physical safety for everyone involved. The MANDT system believes in supporting the person, not just their behaviours and Alison champions this theory throughout her work.
In terms of AAC support, Alison works with the individuals we serve to provide communication systems such as Picture Symbols and Proloquo2go for electronic devices. She is on hand as a resource at CVS to ensure that the individuals we support have a voice, a way to be heard and an ability to communicate their needs.
Alison supports our individuals, their families and the staff team to ensure success for each individual.
